Washington's Army arrived at Valley Forge as an ill-fed, ragged and indifferently trained organization.  They left six months later with vastly improved training and logistical support as a result of the combined efforts of General Washington and his staff.  The Divisions in this study are listed as they were comprised when they left Valley Forge and were verified in Francis B. Heitman's "Officers of the Continental Army" and C.M. Lesser's "The Sinews of Independence" (see References)
