Organized June-August 1775 at Albany, 10 companies from Albany, Tyron, Charlotte, and Cumberland Counties.

Entered Valley Forge June 1778 with 475 men assigned, 387 fit for duty.

Previous engagements: Invasion of Canada, Defense of Canada, Lake Champlain, Saratoga, Philadelphia-Monmouth.
